As ipaymy is a financial institution, we need to know who is using our service - especially when it comes to sending money abroad. Not only does this help protect your money, but it acts to prevent money laundering.

Before you can make your first payment, your identity must be verified by providing additional particulars about yourself and supporting documentation.

What do I need to provide?

All the details on the provided documentation should match your ipaymy account. You will need to provide:

  • Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (P.R.) – NRIC

  • Foreigners - Passport (photo page only)

Selfie Verification

We also require you to upload a selfie of yourself holding your I.D. card. Before you submit your selfie, make sure the photo isn't blurry or covered, so that we can see all the information clearly.

Proof of Address* (Foreigners Only)

Foreigners are required to provide a proof of address (POA) by providing one of these documents dated within the last 3 months.

  • Bank Statement

  • Telephone/Utility Bills

  • Letter from the government (e.g., IRAS, HDB)

Please note that P.O. Boxes are not accepted addresses.

How long does verification take?

Verifying your identity can take up to 3 business days. Once your identity has been verified, you will be notified via email, and the International Payment feature will automatically be enabled in your account.
